Default Crucible of War wants You!

What is The Crucible of War?

The Crucible of War (CoW) is a heavy sci-fi total conversion project featuring diametrically opposed factions and a large number of novel features. We're not actually working with Gen or ZH, but are posting here to recruit those with experience of working with these games, rather than attacking the smaller BfME community. CoW is actually being built using 'Battle for Middle Earth', which is very similar in most respects to Gen.

What are we looking for?

At the moment, we're looking for concept artists, mappers and 3d artists with some experience working with Gen or ZH, or even more favourably BfME if available.

Concept Artsists

We're mostly looking for sketch artists with a high level of talent, capable of extraordinarily high quality, industry standard artwork; preferably students looking for a bit of portfolio work. Examples of previous concept art is available on our ModDB gallery listed in the links below.

Mappers

Mappers will not necessarily require the game, as an editor can be provided for the purpose of dealing with mapping. Textures are still in production, and as such our library is currently very small, but this is expected to rise dramatically given time.
Mappers should be very familiar with Worldbuilder and capable of a fair level of detail. We're preferably searching for mappers who have a good understanding of the singleplayer game, and are able to build comprehensive singleplayer missions.

3d Artists

There is an enormous amount of 3d content to be built for CoW, not only are there extensive amounts of unit and structure models to be built for both of our factions, 3d artists will also spend a great deal of time designing intensive 3d objects for use with our highly specialised terrain system, from large rocky outcrops, to marshes and trenches.
3d Artists need to have some familiarity with a 3d package and be able to produce fair content from them. Artists with skills in skinning, rigging and animating are particularily desired.
