What Smokey said. It takes time, lots of time. Eventually, you will get the hang of everything. There is still stuff I dont get.
PS: I am in a screenshot mood, I will get about 5 more tonight, mabye more if my rate of cranking out units stays the same.
EDIT: Also, for the information, this project, the Aki Warfare Modification, is most likely going to be the largest mod for CnC
Rough estimate:
I plan on having about 6 sides, each with three sub-sides. Those there have about 5 aircraft, 10 infantry, 15 vehicles, 18 buildings, & 6 ships. So do the math:
(10+15+5+18+6)x6x3=973 Units/Structures Coded
For the amount of models, id say each side has about... 15 unique units or structures, so it is less, i'd estimate:
(10+15+5+18+6)+(10x3)x6=234 Units/Structures Modeled/Skinned
So that seems pretty big to me... plus all the graphics outside the units & buildings.
My mod isn't nearly as hard as you think it is, it is very hard, over time, it will get done, but it is going to be huge. Sometime I may let you in on some secrets for making a mod.
