Default Moving Defenders

How do you get people or vehicles to defend an area but when they defend it they patrol it? Round and round. I know you can do the ALT thing but it doesnt last forever and they dont defend properly if u do that...

Well...that feature dont exist in Generals anymore, when they released it they jacked the feature to oblivion.

yes, look in commandmap.ini theres a command for it.

CommandMap BEGIN_PATH_BUILD
Key = KEY_Z
Transition = DOWN
Modifiers = NONE
UseableIn = GAME
End

CommandMap END_PATH_BUILD
Key = KEY_Z
Transition = UP
Modifiers = NONE
UseableIn = GAME
End

huh?
that was for building walls. has nothing to do with units following routes to have them guarded areas. correct me if I am wrong...
