Default Making buildable veteran/elite pilots?

I saw this in a generals/ZH mod somewhere (unfortunately I have no idea what mod), but it had it so that you could build pilots from your barracks that were veterans/elite etc. I am wondering if anyone knows what I am talking about, and also how I would go about doing that. I have dabbled a little bit with INI editing in the past, but I have no idea how to make a new unit.

Help would greatly be appriciated.

look at the inferno cannon, with the vetrancy create tags, apply them to a pilot copy, and make the copy buildable.

ive had trouble with this except when i tryed it i made a new unit and everything but its box appeared grey in the barracks even though it required nothing

show the code...we can break it down...but what i have the feeling is that it didnt work because of the pilots code, but post yo code here anyways...

Okay I have added the pilot, it appears in game and I can build it no problem etc. The problem I am having is simply figuring out a few things, like how to specify the data in the tooltip that pops up.

CommandButton Command_ConstructAmericaInfantryPilot
Command = UNIT_BUILD
Object = AmericaInfantryPilot
TextLabel = CONTROLBAR:ConstructAmericaInfantryPilot
ButtonBorderType = BUILD ; Identifier for the User as to what kind of button this is
DescriptLabel = CONTROLBAR:TempDescription
End

That is my command button, I have put the part in question in bold italics. I am wondering where exactly the data on that is stored generally?

This is pretty much copy & paste hacked together so I am pretty happy I have even managed to get it in game, even though it has the icon of a particle uplink cannon. Some pointers on how to remedy this would be appriciated.

The vaules for the flags you highlighted are stored in Generals.csf. You can extract it out of EnglishZH.big, but you'll need a CSF editor (such as the one that comes with XCC Mixer) in order to edit the text strings contained within.

Also, adding ButtonImage=SAPilot to your button code should change the button cameo to that used by the default pilot.
