Default Scaling objects

How do you scale objects up and down? I've tried using the geomatry things at the end of an object but they just changed the shadow size

You can use Scale = for testing or debugging purposes, but I highly recommend you change the scale in the model itself. Scale = causes a lot of wierd shadowing (and sometimes animation) problems for anything that moves. This includes animation, movement by physics, movement by locomotor, etc. The effect is an improperly rendered shadow, and possibly mistimed animation.

Is this true for infantry as well? It doesn't have real shadows after all.

yes, and the unit resizes short time after u jump on it with the camera. so it appears shortly with the default w3d size. that looks a bit strange.

Scaling does not affect collision data either. If you scale say a building to half size, things will still collide with its full size geometry. To truly scale something, you would have to redo the model. Ideally, scaling is only for visual effect, for stuff like cutscenes.

Is it because of the INI scaling that causes some units to overlap as in they just shove each other? This graphical flaw does get on me for some shallow reason.

No, that's an engine limitation. (Is there a workaround for the broken collision detection in infantry/vehicles/aircraft?)
