Default The Basics...

I get soo ticked off because nobody posts any tutorials about any of the basics of gen modding. I would love if you guys could show me some tutorials on how to do some basic coding.

Because usually, such tutorials aren't needed. EA left huge amounts of comments in the code explaining what everything does.

Start small, with small edits like weapon damages, health changes, etc. Then once you've gotten the hang of it, you can begin to add/remove/edit new units...

I'm not saying that I dont know these things, I'm saying that when I was completely new to modding there was almost nothing out there to help me!

I'm not only talking about coding, I'm also talking about that basic things such as having your .big file start with 00.

do a google serch for tutorials on basic modding, i found a good one on adding a unit

well for starters, you can check out the GenDev tutorials. Take note that most of the downloads on that site are offline due to a database failure that manages the downloads.

Makes the big file alphabetically first, giving it file content processing priority over other big files - like the official ini.big
