Default Black Lotus AI Bug

A friend of mine has asked me to start playing ZH with him since he wants to learn about the game. We've been having alot of fun playing against hard ai opponents. I'm doing a little of modding along the way but there's 1 thing I've noticed that drives me crazy.

The Black Lotus controlled by the computer can start capturing one of your buildings and start running away whilst still capturing it. Is this an INI bug or a script bug?

I believe that you correctly identified the Black Lotus problem as an AI bug. Unfortunately, I don't know any way to fix the bug.

isn't it the same like the Nuke Cannon when some other unit passed their way. Sometimes the cannon drives in unpacked (ready-to-fire) state a little bit forward or backward. I guess something similiar happens when BL runs away before the building is captured. But when BL runs away before her task is done: will she get camouflaged or only then when she has ended her special power?
So I guess there's a bug in the un/packed condition states (Nuke Cannons, Black Lotus, Hackers have these) in conjunction with pathfinding issues of some units maybe.

The black lotus bug was fixed in the 1.01 patch but re-apeared in 1.03. The black lotus ini code is the same for both versions so I don't think we can fix it.

Is it an INI bug or script? I guess it's like when the AI might build something over another structure...usually an Airfield on top of a PowerPlant.

It is most likely a Script problem. Ill have a look later see what i can dig up about this.
