Default Can't get my map to appear...

Hey guys, I extracted the map "Golden Oasis" from the MapsZH.BIG from the main ZH directory. I love the map but it has no tech structures so I placed some on it. Saved and renamed it as "Gold Oasis", placed it in the C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Maps because I want it to appear under the official maps, but it doesn't show. Opened it up and saved and renamed as its original name "Golden Oasis" again and placed it in My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps but still it didn't show. :/

What can I do to make extracted maps from the MapsZH.BIG to appear either in the official and unofficial maps as edited ones?

Thanks in advance! :drunk:

There's also mapcache.ini in the file - there are ini entries for maps there that define whether they are official and/or multiplayer.

Altering this means you won't be able to play online against other players until you revert to the original.

I'd be happy leaving it in unofficial maps to be fair

Ok thanks, I finally got it to appear in the Official Maps by fiddling with the MapCache.INI

I renamed it as 'Gold Oasis'

Code:
MapCache maps_5Cgold_20oasis_5Cgold_20oasis_2Emap
  fileSize = 581608
  fileCRC = 1735471735
  timestampLo = 1460588759
  timestampHi = 29585265
  isOfficial = yes
  isMultiplayer = yes
  numPlayers = 4
  extentMin = X:0.00 Y:0.00 Z:0.00
  extentMax = X:4300.00 Y:4300.00 Z:0.00
  nameLookupTag = MAP:GoldOasis
  InitialCameraPosition = X:0.00 Y:0.00 Z:0.00
  Player_1_Start = X:2076.84 Y:680.77 Z:0.00
  Player_2_Start = X:518.03 Y:2244.16 Z:0.00
  Player_3_Start = X:2181.21 Y:3451.06 Z:0.00
  Player_4_Start = X:3537.61 Y:1927.83 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:1262.33 Y:664.04 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:1201.26 Y:675.05 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:3339.86 Y:3105.18 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:3373.93 Y:3125.08 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:598.54 Y:3539.57 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:631.73 Y:3555.08 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:1414.64 Y:1801.49 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:1906.65 Y:2094.93 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:1726.84 Y:259.29 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:3907.78 Y:2353.59 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:1709.73 Y:3868.98 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:176.95 Y:1768.34 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:3343.53 Y:3134.50 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:1236.58 Y:632.75 Z:0.00
  supplyPosition = X:597.54 Y:3571.34 Z:0.00
END
But I'm such a whining bastard. I see it appear as MISSING'MAP:GoldOasis'. I extracted the Generals.CSF file and inserted a string using the CSFEditor with

Name:
MAP:GoldOasis

Value:
Gold Oasis

Saved the Generals.CSF and placed it on C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Data\English, but still I get the MISSING'MAP:GoldOasis'. Why is this happening even if I fixed it with the CSF file? :\

Should do the trick; are you sure you haven't made any silly mistakes? (Typos, putting the wrong CSF file in, etc).
