Default Having modding problems

Ok,

I just modded the Armor.INI, Weapons.INI, FactionUnits.INI and after that when I start up C&CG, a popup comes up saying something about "Technical Difficulties"

I just edited the armor stats in Armor.INI, The ROF and damage in Weapons.INI, and the unit prices in FactionUnits.INI :|

I may have edited more, I gotta go back and check. Expect me to edit this post in about. . . half an hour.

Edit: I have a few more questions I'd like to ask - How do I make it so that the AI prefer infantry over vehicles? Does it involve scripting? Coding? Any other type of file editing? So far, I've only learned to edit the INI file. . . And it's not so easy :/

you can go to My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\Releash Crash Data.txt and copy and paste that here


if it Zero Hour go to My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Releash Crash Data.txt



to allow the ai to fire at infantry over vehicles go to where it says make a line called "PreferredAgainst = PRIMARY INFANTRY" under the weapon...Primary being the weapon that fires at the infantry and INFANTRY being the type that it fires at.... eg

Weapon = PRIMARY Comanche20mmCannonWeapon
PreferredAgainst = PRIMARY INFANTRY

Releash Crash Data isn't usually as useful as World Builder is.

When I said "infantry over vehicles" I meant to say "How do I make the AI prefer queing up infantry instead of vehicles?" Sorry :/

I don't think its possible, I know in the old games they used to have threat ratings, but I haven't seen that in Generals and Zero Hour as of yet.

i dont think its possible as well... unless.... you script it on the map or import the skirmish scripts and edit them

I have another question; How do I make the GLA drop out of their GLAJetSuppyPlane? I've Seen the GLA's AirPlane before, I sware! I just want it so that when I call for a Rebel Ambush, they drop out of planes like USA instead of houdini's. . . Possible? No?

it is definitly possible...but a long process..


you need:

An OCL [just copy the AmericaParadrop OCL and use the GLACargoPlane as the transport]

command buttons, command sets, and a special power tag
