Default AI not using new units

Hello guys/gals/unknowns

I have added a couple new units to a mod i'm starting and I am new to this. although the units work just fine when I set the AI to use the side which I have added the new units too, the AI never builds them or uses them. Is there something in the units code that makes the AI see them as a unit it can/should use?

Just as a matter of note: The units are copy paste of existing units with simple weapons changes and there names/descriptions changed in the generals.csf file, otherwise there standard code.

Thanks, Darklight33

...its all in the skirmishscripts.scb file...open worldbuilder [with your mod in it], and then go to edit teams...add the unit from the drop down menu to a few teams...and you may also have to inspect the scripts a bit to tell them when and where to build

AI is scripted in generals, they are told what to build, so unless you edit the scripts (yes, its possible, as smokey said), then the AI wont build them, simple as that.

That's probably because WB is anal-retentive when it comes to errors in the INI code. Check to see if there are any errors you can fix in the log file.

Well WB loads just fine, it's just like trying to perform tasks on an 8088 machine from the 80's, Slooooowwww... but only in WB without any errors.. who knows.

Well assuming the log would show up under either the generals folder or the generals zero hour folder in mydoucuments, there is no error log or any log for that matter. Unless it goes by different name and is also in a format other than plain text. - If your reffereing to a log some place else then im not aware of it.
