Default Modelling Issues..

I am having a small problem right now with a model..

Im following killakanz's UV unwrapping tutorial, and am past unwrapping the model. I have made the skin (impartially, its just the unwrap..), and I have gone to seperate the model, and it messes it up.. I am thinking that I must now completely remake my model, or something..
Is this just the Renx messing up the skin, or what? :/

Are you in the UV editor or actually working in the viewport at the time of this post? It sounds like what you are seeing is the UV's and they are what's misbehaving. If that is the case you should always be able to reset the UV's from either inside the editor or just kill the unwrap modifer in the stack and reapply it and then bring up the UV editor

I don't think it's possible to seperate the model that still have UVs and still have them to maintain accuracy.

You can try adding the Edit Mesh Modifier on top of the UV modifier and then do whatever you want.

Another possibility is to click on the mesh modifier (the one below the UV modifier) and try doing your stuff there.

^ Not sure if they work though.

Ah well, Ill just scrap the tank, or put it in for visual purposes...
Besides, its only my third actually detailed model..that came out the way I wanted it to..

Thanks for the help though, even though it probably wont be used...
