Default RenX appears to lock up... this happpen to anyone else???

I read killasmods tut on adding a tank and was reverse engineering the instructions for adding a plane instead. everything seemed to work out ok until I tried to export the model. I first made sure that the bones and FX and Pick box were selected and turned off geometry and the reverse for the actual model. Then tried to export and it went throught till about 75% complete and then hung up. So I guess my first question is if anyone else has run across this, and secondly did I forget to do something, etc? Now the only other piece of info I can think of at this moment is that the model is about 300 polys ( I am still trying to dumb it down). :scared:

I've never had RenX freeze up during an export, sure I've noticed it slows a bit exporting animations but it's never really crashed.

Oh then again it did once when I attempted to export a 500,000 poly model. It couldn't cope with that...

Anyways, strange problem indeed. Are you using editable meshes? (not editable polys etc...) Have you made sure the bones and things are all merged into scene and not referenced? (Shouldn't be a problem if you inported them). Have you made sure the pickbox has AABox ticked under W3D tools? (You'll need export Geometry ticked for that) Anything else you think is unusual?

I believe the model is an editable poly not mesh, and I know I missed the AABox radio button under W3D tools. I will give those a try and see where it gets me. Ohhh... I think I just realized what might have caused it to freeze, I didn't ask W3D tools to export the geometry for the pick box either, I thought it was more like a bone (or you would see it). Okay I am going to try this again tonight and see where it gets me. Thanks for the suggestions.
