Help with Saboteur Ability? (not kill self on use)
ok, ive been playing around with the damned saboteur abilities, and it seems that the only alternative to himself dissapearing (he is counted as a crate...) is to create something ontop of the building using an ability... now i thought 'ok, ill just create a c4 with saboteur object instead of timedc4bomb' or whatever.... well, it either just isnt picked up by the building, or the 'bomb' is placed next to it... so my question is... is there any way i can spawn an object on a building using a unit ability?

Id assume you could do the same as the Hijacker projectile, just try giving the ability to a projectile.

im trying to get the saboteur to use an ability on a building to sabotage it instead of dissapearing into it (and therefore losing the saboteur) and can you give me an example of the hijacker projectile? or whatever it is? i dont quite get that...

No sorry, I can't, I haven't been able to get a hijacker projectile working, but I know its possible. Basically your meant to have a standard projectile like a missile or something with the hijacker collide module.

The hijacker logic, I'm pretty sure only works on vehicles.

Actually I think it can work on structures as well. I found a tutorial somewhere a while back that explained how to use the hyjacker logic to create an engineer like in previous CnCs

Hijacker logic can be used to capture anything, look at the GLA hijacker, in the module it says what kindofs it needs to steal, just add STRUCTURE if you wanna be able to steal buildings.

yeah, well, i dont want my saboteur to capture a building... just disable it the way he normally does, but still hang around to do more damage. im gonna try that projectile thing, but we shall see...

-bump- didnt work... couldnt manage to get the projectile to fire/select targets...
