Default Real Flashbang FTV

Me again :drunk:

Not that I want to bore anyone out, bit I think I came up with an interesting question. Y'see I want to make a REAL ranger flashbang grenade that doesen't kill infantry (?!) but stuns them instead. If anyone has an idea, please respond.

Perhapse something like an EMP effect, but is it possible to do on inf?
It would look crap though an inf just standing there while getting pwned.

just like a real flashbang then :P - yes you can make emps affect inf, the real problem is stopping them affecting other units too. Instead you may want to try the "status" weapon (check out the avenger - weapondamage is time the effect lasts in miliseconds) wih the "no_attack" effect (instead of farie fire)... This way the inf could still run about, but not aim a weapon.
To stop it affecting other units though you would need to stop them from being affected by the "status" damagetype in their armourset. This would also stop the avenger from being able to put its target painter onto "normal" units... dunno if that would bother anyone.

You might be able to code the DamageType SUBDUAL_UNRESISTABLE to affect only infantry in Armor.ini.
