Default Unused Specials

My topic is this.

How many unused specials are there and what do they all do?

How many have been unlocked and restored into the game?

Sorry for not looking through the ini's but being a training sgt in the army i haven't had much time to myself latley.

Please dont flame as its hard work an rather then go hunting after a long day i would rather someone tell me and make it easy.

for those of you that know me i always do my own grunt work and post it myself its just time comsuming at the mo and i would be greatful if someone could help

Further more to my topic...


I have been able to add the terrorcell Superweapon to the GLA command center and as a rank upgrade.


I am still having trouble adding the Carpet bomb i tried adding it to the Command center but it didnt work i then added it to the Airstrip and its there but wont fire on the target when i choose its location...


I'll try adding the Napalm strike next and possibly any other super weapons...

I'll post all the unused ones and what I think they do, but I don't know how many have been enabled.

1. Carpet Bomb. Drops carpet bombs like in China mission 5. Make sure that you add the proper moduletag (search for CHI05 in factionbuilding.ini) to whatever structure you want it to fire from.

2. Crate Drop. Drops 10 $200 dollar crates at target location.

3. Napalm Strike. Calls in MiG's to do a strike at target.

4. Dirty Nuke. Used in the GLA mission with the convoy trucks (for their bombs).

5. Defector. Kind of like the Dominator form YR (I don't think it works though).

6. Terror Cell. Same as rebel ambush except with terrorists.

7. Black Market Nuke. Calls in a small nuke by plane.

8. Baikonur Rocket. "Launches the Baikonur rocket -- cutscene at end of GLA08!"

That is all that I found in SpecialPower.ini.

Cratedrop is actually the same thing that the supply drop zone uses...It is, however, a hidden SW which you an re-enable to drop them anywhere you wish.

The rest is all correct. Don't know if you forgot any, as I'm too lazy (and uninterested) to check.

Anyways, on the subject of actually enabling the Carpet Bomb for the comm center:

Look carefully in the Commandcenter's code for carpetbomb. There already should be a behavior defined to enable the actually firing of the Carpet Bomb (so you don't get the annoying "invalid" cursor...that is overwritten by one simple behavior...look in the comm centers for it).. Just delete the quotes in front of the behavior to re-enable it.

If that still doesn't work, use the same type of module to enable Carpet Bomb as you used for the Terror Cell. The only difference, is apart from the obvious fact that you'll have to rename the templates to match those of the Carpet Bomb, is that you'll have to define it in a map.ini for the desired building.

Some stuff will still be left to figure out yourself (mainly adressing Rubra). Just check the commandcenters and their code for superweapons and their behavior modules (just search for the commandcenter, then search for "behavior" to find the list of behaviors that enable all the SWs for the commandcenters and copy/paste/rename them to enable new ones.

The defector works btw HyperJag, I've activated it and it doesn't take much work, a few comments removed/added and a new Command Button and a slight edit of the Command Set and you're ready to go

It changes ppl to ur side but i cant even find it

Also wtf is a bokanoir Rocket and me thought there was only 7missions for each side so how can there be a GLA08

Thanx all for your help im going to play with it when i get a little more time.

I'll try your method for the Carpet bomb if i cant get it to work thanx Copycat...

If anyone else has anything we could use please feel free to post it.

Also if anyone gets other SW's working dont keep them to yourself tell everyone you will get know better within the community...

He meant GLA 07. At the end they launch the rocket with bioweapons which brings in the USA.
