Default Zero Hour New Faction Music

Had a quick question. I'm trying to add a new track to a new faction in Zero Hour. I"ve successfully done this in Generalls. But, when I go into ZH WB and set a script IF LOCAL PLAYER is FACTION:NEW THEN PLAY MUSIC TRACK X.

So, everything looks correct on paper, but the track never actually starts playing. Did they switch up how you have to approach this in ZH? Has anyone successfully put a new track in ZH without replacing an existing one?

The EA scripts have a rather overcomplicated way of determining which faction's music to play. They do it by having a script somewhat like yours but instead setting a counter to a certain value. Then there is another script that plays a music track when the counter has been set.

Of course, this is the same method as in Generals, so I don't see any problems with adapting to a new method of implementation.

Hmm...I must still have something wrong then. I have if local player is this faction set music faction to "x"

Then I have if counter music faction is equal to '"x" THEN Play music track "name"

Suggestions?

If you are trying to modify the Music.INI folder, copy a desired music file with a .mp3 or .wav extension into the C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Data\Audio\Tracks directory and copy the name of the desired music track into the listings of Music.INI. It should be in this format:

MusicTrack (Type)_(Faction)
Filename = (MusicTrack).mp3
End
