Buttons, buttons, and more buttons
So I've got new units and infantry, etc in my mod. BUT, the ingame selection icons won't appear.
I've got the images in my art/textures folder, and I think the file names are right.
Can anyone tell me what the specs for the icons are? Where do I put them, what file type do they need to be? Is there a file besides the general.ini (or upgrade.ini) that has the icon stuff in it??

From your reply I'm guessing that you haven't mapped their cordinates in texturesize_512 INI (found in Data\INI\MappedImages\TextureSize_512).
If I remember correctly the one you want is SSUserInterface512.ini

Yes, thank you so much. I didn't know what that folder was for until two days ago. I think I found it a few hours after I posted.
Still, thank you so much for helping.

yup. I'm having a bit of trouble with the mapped images still tho. I can get connected to images already ingame. But to make my own?? I've made a file similar to the USA's "logo" file. The logo that is shown at the bottom right of the control bar. how do I make this mapped image and still be able to call apon the logo instead of all the images in the file?? Mapped images are totally new to me.

Let's see if this clarifies it for you
When you are mapping images you basically have to provide to bits of info:
- which file you want
- the coordinates of the image; not the dimensions of the file.
TextureWidth = 512 <- how wide the file (tga) is
TextureHeight = 512 <- how high the file (tga) is
Coords = Left:100 Top:263 Right:386 Bottom:278
Left:100 <- starts right of this value
Top:263 <- starts below this value
Right:386 <- starts left of this value
Bottom:278 <- starts above this value
Remember to make all images a factor of 2: 64x64, 128x128, 256x256, 512x512
512x512 is generally best.

ok. I've made an Icon that I'd like to use, to purchase an upgrade from the War Factory. I've got it set up in the mapped icons .ini
The file is just a single Icon in the 32 bit .tga format.
The size is 512x512
and my coords are as stated above. The icon is there, but it seems to be stretched out or somethin....what did I do wrong??

The actual button images fall into two different dimensions depending on their use. The actual cameo icon (the big pic that is displayed on the bottom right when you select a unit) is 122x98 pixels. The button icons are all 62x50 pixels. If the image you are mapping happens to not fit these parameters, the game resizes the pic for you, but it doesn't always do a good job. It's best to try to get your original pic to as close to either 122x98 or 62x50 as possible to make the image look natural in the game.
