Question Can folders be compressed into .BIG format?

This may seem new, but is there any way to compress game folders into a file? For example, the program FinalBig can take .BIG files apart and make separate folders in the game's directory, but is there any way to do the reverse? If there is, what program do I use? Thank you in advance. I'm asking because I see new .BIG files come up all the time while I web surf (0ROTR.BIG, Shockwave.BIG, etc.).

It's certainly possible to pack your mod assets into a single BIG file. Does FinalBig have the ability to create new BIG files?

I doubt it. I am using FinalBig right now, and I don't see anything that would pack the folders into BIG format.

This is easy:

Just open up FinalBIG & click on Edit > Import File/Directory. You can either browse for a folder & it will import that folder & all files in that folder in the same folder loctions. Or you can browse for a single file & you type/edit the folder directory for that file. But FinalBIG doesn't compress the files, it just stores them.

Then just save the BIG file where ever your want.

First start a new BIG file.

I use Final BIG to package my mod files for distribution. For extracting and editing i use XCC mixer as it is much better than Final Big for that.
