Default Invisible!!

I finnaly downloaded the Rengade game tools and tried adding one of my units to the game. i changed the battlemaster's model to my typhoon tank. the result was that the war factory's doors open and nutin comes out! but if i make a selection box at the area, i could select an invisible unit! the enemy can see it though...

Help! :S

Search these boards!

You need to scale models (in gmax) to fit in the game.

Also make sure you geometry was set to export

ive imported the crusader tank and used it as the reference scale. didn't understand ur last comment though.. :drunk:

The scale is the most important part, but most objects in Gmax start with export transform and export geometry on.

They count as both bones and regular parts.

If you don't want the bones to show in the finished model, turn off the geometry for them.

One possible reason a unit would not show up is if all the part were invisable. ie:no geometry.

Don't worry about it, the scale problem was probaly it.

You probably have the same problem as I did when I replaced the comanche model with my AH-6 model. The problem was that the model was too small so it looked like nothing came out till you look closely and see a small vehicle.

nvm guys, figured it out on me self.

I had the w3ds in Data/art/W3D not generals/art/w3d.

thats all! :lol:

one more problem though. the house colour part of the mesh is spinning around in the air ! and the bones are visible!

btw, its KrYo-MerK not kyro-merk.

Like I posted earlier, you need to turn off the geometry for the bones

Your housecolor is probably spinning due to not being aligned properly or connected to something it should not be. Grin.
