Default Animations for Comanche, help

I need to get some help with the Commanche. I am trying to get it to be able to land and load up guys for a transport. I already have it so it can get guys and evacuate I also need help making an upgrade so the Commanche can get CombatDrop. I need it to be able to land anywwhere on the map (like the chinook) not just at an airfield. How do i do this?

You can start by looking at the code.

Maybe something simple like giving it the Chinook locomotor

You will also want to alter the KindOf =

to include TRANSPORT


Just for the record I think it is a stupid idea, the Comanche is a LITTLE helicopter

I already have the Kindof = TRANSPORT. I tried adding the chinook ai locomotor module tag and it locked up generals. I need to know if I should make a new ComancheAIUpdate so I can have it land

I can understand tanks being able to carry passengers...but assault helicopters barely fit in a pilot and gunner...

We already now the size of the commanche is too small but it would be easier than giving the chinook weapons and the commanche looks better . That is besides the point I added the chinook locomotor and I still cant get it too land thats what I need help with.

Nice idea Blaine, I don't really like the multitasking on the chinook, it's better off it stays with supply runs anyways. But... the commanche really doesn't work for a transport replacement, it's a 2 seater gunship at best :P Anyone wanna model a Blackhawk? For some added firepower you could even add a door-mounted machinegun.

after several hours of testing (damn-it you go me intrigued.) I think I know why it won't work.

The model has to has the right bones.

The chinook has exit bones. The comanche does not.

You should be able to add the bones to the comanche and make it work.

I'll test it and post back soon.

Thank you Tebrey I had added the rope bones, but i couldnt find the exit/evac bones. The comanche will evac the guys, but it wont land to do so. They just fall out and hit the ground (taking damage) I appreciate your help
And the comanche will work for a transport. We have a new model for it, but it needs to be skinned.

Well, I go it to land. Had to shoot it to do so. Then my guys ran over and got in while it was on the ground LOL.

I'll keep plugging away at this, I need dropships for my mod. Grin.

i thought it might have something to do with the jetupdate module, but the game crashes bigtime if I mess with that.

That's the only way I got it to land and get guys in it too
I messed around with the jet module tag too. crashed every time
Good thing I back up my ini files constantly
