Default Armed Forces of the Philippines Mod

Hi!

I'm a bit new here, and I have observed that this forum have helped a lot of aspiring modders like me to face the trial and error disease of modding this game.

I am currently developing my AFP mod with meager resources at hand (CWC and VGO for models), which incorporates current and future Philippine Armed Forces units.. I am trying my best to make this as realistic as possible (No superweapons for Philippines..), and I am in dire need of a few more models and A LOT more for advices and suggestions regarding this...

I am requesting these models because I am really having a hard time learning to create game-compatible models..

For the models, I just need the following:

F-5A Freedom Fighter (with camo skin and Phil Air Force Markings)
GKN Simba APC
V-150 Commando Attack APC
Aermacchi S-211 Light Attack Jet

I will attach some of the game pics I shot so I can at least tell that I did something...

More power to this forum!

I would also like to add a request for another model for Alvis FV-101 Scorpion Light Tank... I used CWC's M109 models because it looked similar ingame, but I want the real one... thanks!

If you're going for a "realistic" approach then scrap the F-5 Freedom fighter because it was decommissioned and turned into scrap already; You can use the OV-10 bronco instead. Also, the scorpion never entered full combat duty. It was only used in parades that was formerly held in Quirino Grandstand.

Question: Pinoy ka ba? =P

yes.. noypi me! i already have the Bronco ingame.. I know all about decommissioning of F-5 last 2000 because of an accident during an exercise w/ US F/A-18's in Pampanga(?), but for the game's sake, I at least want to bring the former PAF glory back. Regarding the Scorpion, I've seen a few in action in some newspapers (I forgot the year) as a fire support vehicle. Going back to the F-5 for the the game, I used the F-16 model to fill the role of a supersonic fighter (since PAF, as I've heard, is planning to procure it). If I would be able to have some help with the requested models, I would scrap the other models I borrowed to give way for them.

Question: san probinsya m? =p

In addition, what I'm actually planning is, F-5 for the regular fighter, the S-211 to act like an Aurora bomber (minus the supersonic speed), and the Broncos would be the A-10's equivalent..

What weapons did the F-5As have besides wingtip AIM-9 and cannon? Did they have snake and nape? Cluster bombs? Rocket pods?

See time 13:38 in this video clip:
YouTube - Apocalypse Now - Helicopter Attack- Kilgore
It shows a formation of 4 Philippine F-5As pretending to be American ones dropping napalm in Vietnam. The UH-1 helicopters in the film are also Philippine ones.

Hey i noticed that F-5A don't have wingtip rails for missiles like F-5E, instead they have some pods, what are those for? ECM/flare pods or fuel tanks? Because of this the Ethiopeans used F-5E for air to air and F-5A for ground attack in the Ogaden war:

hi!

thanks for taking a look.. I appreciate you taking time to check out on my little mod..

I think I'd rather have the F-5A, armed with Vulcan cannon and two AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles under the wings for air-to-air combat, then enable the FFAR rocket pods for ground attack after an upgrade..
