Hey guys I just thought of something kewl and am going to check the code on it and was hoping for some input.
PROPOGANDA - Convincing a group to believe and support your view of somthing thru the art of telling a half truth
Chinese have the propoganda tower which thru SUBLIMINAL MESSAGING ( which if I remember correctly sparks faster healing) and NATIONALISM ( which I think I remember boosts firing rate). And its abilities are spread thru use of a propoganda tower... but are the Chinese the only ones with this? why not Americans and GLA
American have a newly modeled and skined propoganda building (there is a model in the world builder that is PERFECT is all decored USA style and is just perfect. I will send the building name in a moment). That promotes PATRIOTISM (which will spark faster firing) and HOMELAND SUPPORT (or something like that that will boost healing times) The USA can disperse this ability instead of thru towers thru a special commander or (NCO)
GLA can use there existing Palace to have JIHAD (works the same as Nationalism in that it increases there units rate of fire) and SUBLIMINAL MESSAGEING (to increase the units healing factor). These as well could be dispersed thru the use of a propoganda tower.
Now I know that the menu does not have a scroll bar... so where will we fit this new GLA and USA building your asking..... I dont know. The Chinese is alreayd done. The GLA can just use the Palace to get the upgrades
and I guess you could use the USA Strategy Center (Although I think the building Ihave in mind is MUCH better). But were would you and how would you put the GLA tower for construction? The USA NCO commander can bu made in the barracks.
Okay guys and girls I have ranted my idea out. Any suggestions or thoughts? Deezire you have any input?
It sounds good but I dont think its possible. You're talking about weapon bonus types and I think they are hard-coded. ie the basic propaganda tower makes troops ENTHUSIASTIC and upgraded makes SUBLINIMAL.
I think its a great idea It wouldnt 'fit' into the scheme of things in the kind of thing that I would do, but as part of a wider array of changes as part of a mod it would be a very cool thing to have IMHO.
Shadow... I never thought of sendign it there... but in a quasi-realist view would it make sense to have the upgrades for Patriotism and Homeland support come from a detention center.
I know it comes down to room and all and it might have to go where it can fit.... but....
I will also post the model of the building I am thinking of using.... check it out soon I am at work so I will post it in like... ummmm 6 hours.
