Default New: Recon Bikes

I have gotten the NOD Recon Bikes into generals. I did not create the model or the texture since it was from the game Renegade. What I did do was resize the model for Generals. A screenshot of the bikes is below.

I am not that good with animations like that so I cant get it to be like in renegade. Someone might be able to get it to work like that though

Suspension is done by tagging wheels with certain bones and then defining those bones in the inis and changing stuff in the locomotor, no animations here

Yes but the accepted wheel bones in generals are left and right front, left and right rear, left and right middle front, left and right middle rear. However it might work if you just use front and rear but I'm not sure.

To add bones you'll have to import the model into Renx.

Cool. Nice job, I think you or someone should speak to Ack over at renrelm see if he'll let you port some of the renalert models.

Oh and post a pic with it skinned.

Right. Add a bone on the front wheel's axle and call it Tire01. Link the front wheel to it. Add a bone on the rear wheel's axle and call it Tire02. link the rear wheel to it. In your recon bike entry in generals add these at the end of the model module inside the END tag:

FrontTireBone = Tire01
RearTireBone = Tire02

If this doesn't work you'll have to add 2 bone to each wheel, with Tire01 and Tire02 on the front and Tir03 and Tire04 an the back. Then add these lines to Your recon bike instead of the last two:

LeftFrontTireBone = Tire01
RightFrontTireBone = Tire02
LeftRearTireBone = Tire03
RightRearTireBone = Tire04

Hopefully this will work and won't look too bad.
