After you get the RenX tools: (don't need gmax unless your going to edit something)
Open the model with w3dvier.exe and expand the 'hierarchy' section, from it will come the name of the tank. The expand the 'textures' section to see the skin name.
Re-name your BVTank.w3d to be the same as the name in the 'hierarchy' section. Re-name your BVTank.dds skin to be the same the name in the 'textures' section.
This will make the tank apper in-game.
To change the names in the 'hierarchy' and 'textures' sections use gmax.
