I managed to follow it OK, but ym infantry came out completely grey

When I viewed it in W3D viewer I found it wasnt making use of any materials so I couldnt actually reskin it - how do get that far as Im sur this will be the $64,000 question.

Sorry if this sounds dumb

That would be a bug with your w3d importer.... You'll need to reapply the materials in Gmax. (or get a different importer)

OK can somebody help me as I suck at this

I will send a SKL and SKN of a W3D file along with a skin I made but I need somebody to apply the skin to it properly for me :S

I emailed just as soon as I got back in this morning. Sorry. I'd be happy to apply the skin for you. As they said, probably just an import/export bug.
