What I wonder is if that means they've finally re-implemented the w3d lod functions. Would makes sense but it would be nice to know.

Yeah, that's what the little bubble said, next to LOD in the Generals Options menu.

I guess it's just one of those acronyms, like CoD.

Cause of Death
Cash on Delivery
Call of Duty
Coalition of Delegates
etc.
