I think I'll manage

Althought I also intend to prove those specifications completely wrong - I got Doom 3 running on a Geforce I a couple of days ago without it lagging out entirely

go me!

I've seen it use 540 mbyte. Add 128 for Windows 2000/XP and wonder how they can advertise with 256?

I believe that they say its 256 for single player, skirmish and online 1v1. If you want more than 1v1 online you'll need 512.

I didn't crap out here, Before hand I upgraded to a Radeon 9550 256MG and uped my ram from 256 to 768MG. I played for 2 days before the ram showed up and it played ok (alittle laggy with alot of units on screen) but the loading between missions was 3-5 minutes. After the ram update it's working like a champ.
