Default About the new Locomotor system

I have looked at other locomotor's for units in the game and have read how the new locomotor system works but i am at a lost how to decrease and increase the speed of units, i saw that it goes by percentage this time round and have tinkered with a few entries but i have not yet been able to successfully increase or decrease a units speed.

has anyone else been able to to do this yet?

They made it rather easy to apply mass changes to that respect

Look near the very end of gamedata.ini, you'll find:

;------------------------HORDE MOVEMENT DATA------------------------------
#define NORMAL_EVIL_INFANTRY_HORDE_SPEED 28
#define NORMAL_EVIL_INFANTRY_MEMBER_SPEED 32 ; A little faster so when the formation wheels the unit can catch up.
.
.
. etc

Just change those numbers and there you have it.

How about adding a new one though, I have only managed to change the speed of heroes so far as they look pretty simple to edit. SO if i wanted to add a new speed type for Archers I would add:

#define NORMAL_GOOD_ARCHER_HORDE_SPEED 40
#define NORMAL_GOOD_ARCHER_MEMBER_SPEED 45

And then I would define NORMAL_GOOD_ARCHER_HORDE_SPEED in the INI file in the unit section for it to work?

**EDIT**

Yeah it seems to have worked, although could not make a new Locmotor, oh well if at first you dont succeed.

That should be about right. Just define it there in the gamedata.ini, and then change the reference from the objects/goodfaction/goodfactionunits.ini (I think that might be where you need to change it. I'm not sure, but look around) to refer to NORMAL_GOOD_ARCHER_HORDE_SPEED instead of the default.
