Default Adding custom textures and icons

When I add .dds files for textures or icons to the art/textures folder and use them in the game, they always turn purple, it looks like you have to declare somewhere wich textures you use. When I change the name of a .dds file into a name that is already used in the textures.big file they do work :S, does anyone has the same problem or maybe know how to solve it ?. I have coded for generals for a long time, and never had the problem there.

In generals you had to map the images in an INI file to get them to work. I'm sure it's the same for BFME.

I know, as I said, I've modded for generals for a long time, that's not it, it is for all the dds files, skins, button images, everything, as soon as I use custom names, the images become purple :S

Seems from Dees other answer that you have to reference it in assets.dat file. Check the other thread on art code and he talks about it.
