Thx for the link.

That's how it looks. I'm not on wireframe mode, but it was a nice idea. Because as you can see on the screenshot, everything else isn't in wireframe mode.

I tried to follow Oldfaq's tutorial, but I'm having a problem with the W3D Importer. If you open the Tutorial, it gives you a link to W3D Importer 2. Firstly, I don't know where to put it, so I just put it in every folder in gamepacks\Westwood\RenX. But it doesn't show up anyway. If I try the button Run Script in GMax -> MAXScript and select the W3D Importer it shows the error: "-- Runtime error: fileIn: can't open file - "RenX-WME"". Maybe I'm a bad luck magnet or something.

The tutorial uses this one http://gendev.game-mod.net/pafiledb....tion=file&id=9 which comes with a readme.I should have specified in the tute, thanks for pointing that out

Your image is a little small to see whats going on.Try using jpeg with decent compression rather than gif, you will achieve a much smaller filesize with no apparent loss of quality. Then you wont have to shrink your screenshots!

Do the wireframe objects keep a constant screensize regardless of zoom level? In your screenshot, it looks like you have used coolfiles importer. His script imports bones with no geometry whatsoever. What you can see are the links between bones(which can be turned on/off in the display panel).

Yea, that! I was using Coolfiles' Importer at that moment, because the other version didn't work. (I downloaded the wrong Importer, thx for pointing that out again) Now using the new importer, the bones appear as dots. But atleast now I know how to put bones to a model. :P *continues the GMax tutorial to learn how to animate*

If you finish what gmax has to offer tutorial-wise, and are looking for more, then downlaod the 3dsmax trial and tutorials.Nearly everything you learn in gmax will be applicaple in 3dsmax, and a lot of the animation stuff you learn in the tutes in 3dsmax will work in gmax.

I also thoroughly recommend learning a little maxscript here and there, you wont regret it.Look in the Maxscript reference for some beginners tutes.
