I think that Mordor destroying Isengard is perfect. And so is the Elven faction. Isengard would need more heroes though in order to equal Mordor. Perhaps some of the characters like the warg leader. And like the Uruk-hai leader that took over the attack of the Fellowship after Aragorn killed Lurtz, or the one that led the attack on Helm's Deep.

As for the Elven faction, I think that Elves should be Lothlorien wood elves. They should have wood-like bases I think. The citadel could be some lighted tree-house like what you see in the movie. And like the other good forces castles should have walls around them. Elven trees could be around the camp ground as well. As for the gate I don't have any ideas.

Does this sound good to anyone?

It's all balanced. Isengard doesn't have much heroes, but Saruman and Lurtz are strong - as are all Isengard units BTW.

An Elven faction would totally contradict with LotR. And if BFME isn't about LotR, what is it about?

The Silmarillion?

The battles in the First and Second Ages were much bigger and more destructive than the War of the Ring (LOTR) anyway.

The Elven Faction would fit in nicely. It could be used in Lothlorien. It would make it a bit more interesting. Plus an Elven faction would also possibly make room for an intro level -- the The First Age battle. The intro movie could be split in 2 pieces. 1 for the beginning and 1 for the end of the level. Or you could just make a new First Age campaign. But thats to much I think.

Also for the evil campaign, you could add a little something that was left out of BFME, and it was in the movie. MINAS MORGUL!!!! If you look at the map during the campaign. Frodo and Sam just climb straight up to Shelobs Lair. You can also see a spot just below Cirith Ungol, that looks like an air-brushed spot where they tried to drop out Minas Morgul. That would be a beautiful addition to the evil campaign.

*cough*Second Age*cough*

First Age was fighting with Melkor, of whom Sauron is a servant.

True, then when Melkor got banished Sauron took up abode in Mordor.

Hacing just Lothlorin Elves would suck because you could only really have bowmen that could change to swords.

Maybe you could have Rivendell and the Gray Havens (High Elves) and Lothlorin and Mirkwood (wood elves). They could be two difrent teams (High elves and Wood Elves) or the same team but the two difrent types have difrent attributes (sp?) like Wood Elves have a better shot but worse armor.
