never mind i did it.

but i am still having problems, i did everything it says in the tutorial but my model still doent show up ingamee.

what i did was import the witchking on foot with his skeleton and the delet most of the crown on the head and the mace. i then applied the skin of the fellbeast rider to this. i then followed the tutorial with the adding the vertices to bones and the model to the wwskin, etc. i then set the export things and exported it as shown in the tuturial.

however when i put it into the game it worked fine except, 1 i had missed some vertices so it looked kinda wierd and 2 the skin was not applied.

why was the skin not applied? please help

Thanks guys.. I know have quite a few models rigged and ready to go ingame. Nothing particularly impressive or creative yet, but everyone has to start somewhere...

I was wondering.. is there any way of importing the animations into GMAX to edit?

Another quick question. On page 1 Rene has a load of information about the original models.... how did he get this? Do I need to open the models with some other program?

Another thing.. when I export my model, the hidden meshes aren't on the mesh list in W3Dviewer... will they still take effect in game? For example.. I've hiddenthe bounding box (I'm assuming that's what those cubes surrounding units are) it'd be kinda bad if they didn't work..

Thanks again

Hate to bump this thread but I have another question:

I've converted some Gondor archer animations to the elven warrior. Unfortunatley there are some bones I need to add: all the ones related to the sword being on the elf's back... is there any way (other than cloning bones) that I can join bones to an existing skeleton?
