Default mounting gimli with legolas and dwarf toss

well i have mounted legolas sucessfully and got aragorn to to gimli without making him invisable but the only problem is that no matter what bone i attach gimli to in the rohirrim archer model (which i used for legolas) he sticks out of the right side.

how can i change the direction the bone faces if this actually happens or add a new bone (the rohirrim archer lacks the passenger bone thet the other hero's have to be able to hold hobbits)

the same thing applies to gimli in aragorn he sticks out at stupid angles.

how can i fix this?

Can you just "align to world" the bone perhaps. Maybe it's facing the wrong direction.

well how do i point it up then?

or align to world as you put it, and where would i do this ? in the rohirrim archer skin or model? and would this make all animations void?

Select the bone then go to the pivots table and then you have a bunch of options, one of which is Align to World.
