Default Possible? New Spellbook Object?

I've went to sys.ini and copied the EvilSpellBook object and renamed it NewSpellBook. I assigned this to Isengard and referenced it in the player template. I also added the proper commandsets.

Now it worked but some spells we deactived. I did not make a child object and simply referenced the whole SpellBook for both SP and MP.

Though the MP showed up as only 8 spells. What tells the SP to us the 12 spell book and the MP to use the 8 spellbook?

Is it maybe just not possible?

Its hardcoded - in single player mode, a parameter is set that lets the game use 12 spells, in multiplayer mode its 8.

Its the same logic that is used to display a slightly different Palantir (control bar) depending on whether you play as good or evil.

That's ridiculous, hard coding something like that. That could have been easily done with INI referencing. Ok, thanks alot, at least I'll stop fussing with that than.

Ive recompiled my own file that lets you use 12 spells in mp and sp modes - Ill upload it soon.

If its hardcoded and you have disassembled or recompiled part of it, doesn't this infringe on the copyright?

Not true, modders always try to operate within legal boundaries, mainly because we don't want our mods closed down.

Forgive me for sounding a little harsh, but why the heck haven't you let the community know HOW you've done this, DeeZire? I can't imagine you wanting to hoard knowledge just so you can claim to be "the first" or something!?

Also, if you've got "contacts" inside EA, shouldn't you be relaying any info they provide you to the rest of the communty ASAP?

He said he'll upload it and that's good enuff for me. 12 spells are alot more fun to play with than 8 for MP.
