Default What will happen if ....

... you release your Deezire BFME Extended Edition mod whereas EA has already planned to release an (not free of course) add on 'containing' the same stuff you will 'unlock' in your mod ?

They will loose a project and lot of money too!

This question came to my mind when I read the topic "Ea Conspiracy" in the general forum. I wanted to answer there, but Koma locked it for some (good) reasons.

If you don't want to answer because it will put you in troubles with EA, don't.
:scared:
I don't want you to have problems with EA staff or something, because I think they are always watching your work as a talented modder.
(Perhaps I am a little bit paranoid ! )

Have a nice day !!

Im sure they have an x-pack planned although it will be much more extensive. I think it may contain the co-operative missions idea they mentioned at the comunity day as well as an expanded single player campaign (the Corsairs may be re-inserted) amongst other things.

As for the stuff I have done, a lot of it was removed for genuine enough reasons in this case - New Line cinema just didnt like it and as license holders they called the shots. The best example was the Balrog 'grab infantry' thing.

Saying that, its interesting that they have put the ability to remove hordes from the Runied Tower (i.e. re-implemented correct garrison logic) in the next patch

^ Thats because (technically), when you place a battallion into a structure in the normal game, you dont actually garrison it - you gain ownership of it instead, and in doing so the structure just has a normal (bow) weapon.

In my 'extended edition' (sic) you get to garrison structures properly, meaning that not only will such structures gain a fire arrow weapon when you have upgraded your archers, but you can also remove battallions from them and continue to use them too This means that its now actually worth building Battle Towers and such as you can now load them up with stronger troops (Sentry Towers stay as they were) - in the normal game they are just a more expensive version of Sentry Towers.

And I can tell you, its a bitch to get the whole thing working properly - not as easy as you may think.

More info here, should be done in couple of days;-
