I just have a basic problem with my version on LOTR: BFME....the game installs and runs ok....but when i start a campaign or skirmish regardless of the difficulty level my entire army gets destroyed in about 2 minutes of playing and the game says that i have been defeated...is there any way to work around this

reinstall your game, its a protection to prevent illegal copies of the game

I really wish we knew what causes people's registry info to get corrupted when they are running legal versions of the game. It's a real pain in the ass.

i reinstalled it 5 times already and to no avail.....i am sure there must be something somewhere that can undo this

Using a no-CD crack usually causes this too. Trainers also cause the problem. It may even be another app thats running in the background, basically anything that may cause a change to the memory used by BFME while its running will trigger the copy protection.

If just uninstalling it doesn't work either, try manually removing it. Delete the directory, delete the registry information, etc etc. Then try reinstalling. There is a topic pertaining to this on the EA help site.
