And if you modded Generals/ZH switching over into BFME is simple. It's the same engine just with some more art code stuff you can play with, among other things. While BFME has its problems, it is certainly not a bad game in my opinion.

Ram and Graphics cards are very important in BfME, as people have already pointed out. It's pretty poorly optimised for lower end machines.

Isengard was an army built for the purpose of laying siege, they're weapons are also fairly limited. Mordor is worse when it comes to sieges, as their catapults, trolls and mumaks are all somewhat deadly. Isengard are also very slow, and very vulnerable to shooting / monsters...

I'd hope so. Berserkers are rather pricey compared to peasants - one berserker costs more than the entire battalion. Besides, peasants are supposed to be cannon fodder...

They're also more expensive. You should find that a single unit of peasants or soldiers will also decimate an Uruk unit if they're still both at level one, the odds are fairly even.

1001: GET A FUCKING NEW PC AND F OFF with your crap this game runs like a train on my pc and friends pc.

and only thing is its hard to mod because they got an deal with New Lines Studios so get lost or something...

But yes, BFME is poorly optimized IMO. Generals could handle High fine with my old system which was running a 64MB NVidia GeForce4 MX 420...
because it wasn't doing as much work

DX8.1 and 9 effects were not being proccessed, Because the MXseries were basicly DX7 cards.
