Making the game more than 8 players

How can i make the game have more than 8 players? If anyone knows how to do it then please tell me thanks.

I'm not sure if it applies to BFME, but in RA2 the no. of players had to be set at 8 due to the IPX protocol of network play, in English, that means it needed 8 players otherwise LAN and Internet play wouldn't work. I'm not sure if it worked in Skirmish or not. Sorry I can't be of more help
