Default [GEN/ZH] A perfect amphibious unit, not hover but float

Do you have any amphibious unit in your mod? I get a good idea about it. Both the Locomotors and the OVER_WATER animations must be modified. It is seen that the upper half is over water and the other is under water.

This gives a 404 filenot found error

But i guess you make the locomotor preferred height to be negative so it is below water, and you modify the wave / wake particle systems to be created at water level.

There is an amphibious unit already in Zero Hour, so you could use the locomotor for that to make any unit amphibious. What is the difference between a floating unit and a hovering unit? I thought they were the same thing.

The amphibious transport in generals hovers above the surface, as does the PT boat. Deezire is talking about having boats look more realistic, where the boat is actually in the water rather than above it.

However the PT boat actually already does go below the waterline since the bottom of the model is below the origin and the origin is what is used for the preferred height.

Also, there is the floatupdate module, which is used by the boats to sway around but is not enabled. If you enable it. it makes them able to die by drowning or being swamped.

For the sway, You can also use the "sway" effects of the Helix. It's defined in its locomotor itself.
