Is there any way to let a grenade bounce over the ground and explode after some seconds?

Doesn't fully work in RA2.

You can try use the shrapnel logic (i.e. prism tank style) and spawn one extra grenade (or a few more if you'd like) but that would mean that it would have to hit a unit (not the ground) before it would spawn another grenade.

U know TS Disk Thrower's weapon bounced, that weapon exists in rulesmd.ini, named [Grenade].

Damage=40
ROF=60
Range=4.5
Projectile=Lobbed
;Floater=yes
Speed=5
Warhead=HE
;Lobber=yes
Bright=yes

[Lobbed]
Image=DISCUS
Bouncy=yes
Arcing=yes
Floater=yes
SubjectToCliffs=no
SubjectToElevation=no
SubjectToWalls=no

This weapon works, just change projectile image.

Psycho: As I said before it doesn't work well/at all.

Try force firing on the ground in TS and it'll bounce, as it should. Try that in RA2, and it will explode on impact.


catull0: Take a look at the sharpnel code, try to understand it, and duplicate it. Don't forget that when you create a "fragment" weapon, it must exist on a unit first (put it on [XCOMET]'s primary, secondary or elite of either).

Why is it that shrapnel weapons only work when used on units and not buildings? I find this rather silly. Surely a prism beam would be defracted if it hit a metal building. I suppose it would be possible to give every building a units armour, but this could cause problems. When Deezire changed the armour of he radars did he encounter a problem with this?

Sorry to get off the subject, but it just seemed like a good time to ask.
