Search in the Web for XCC Mix Editor, its different than XCC Mixer. The XCC Mix Editor allows u to create a new mix file anywhere. Do expand*.mix file to place vxl,ini,map,pal etc files inside it, and create ecache*.mix file to place shp files inside it.

Why tell him to search on the web?

It is available at xccu.sourceforge.net

But like I said earlier for the ini files he should just leave them in the RA2 directory and not bother to put them into mix files.

FYI ( for your information ):

mix files for mods should be named

expand(md)XX.mix or ecache(md)XX.mix

md is for YR only without the md is usually read by RA2 and YR.

XX is for the numbers 02 through 99, and yes you need the leading zero ( "O" ).

When you create a mix file in XCC Mix Editor you can drag and drop files into an open mix file.

Alright, thanx a lot everyone. Finally got it working. Now, 2 more questions:

Is there a good, complete tutorial on the web for the following things(please leave a link):

1.)Creating my own pictures for units when selecting them for creation and when they are on the map
2.)Creating my own countries and country specific units, not just renaming the country

1.) if you are refering to build icons (a.k.a. cameos), then I am the best person to ask, I can make them for you.

I had an idea. If this is possible I will use the Nutral country for a new side, and then remove the civilians.

Nope. You still have to replace an existing country. Any country that is unused will always stay unused. Just so you know, the Neutral house is the Civilians.

Is English your first language?

That made no sense to me what-so-ever, besides that you want to replace the civilians with a playable side.

Also, when i make a new unit, i read somewhere i have to do something with a *.csf file. What is that all about and what am i supposed to do with one?

A few more things i just thought of:
1.) where can download base pictures that I can Convert to use in my mod, ex. A picture of an infantry unit or something.
2.) Is it possible to make a kamikaze air unit?
3.) Is it possible for me to create a unit that can call in a kamikaze air strike?
