You might not need ore silos in RA2/YR because the ore/gems they (miners) collect are converted straight into cash, unlike in RA1 where sometimes it gets too many it can't be stored in the refinery (although building another one acts almost like a silo, at a higher price).

Ore silos are NOT pssible in RA2/YR. Refineries hold infinite money.

Have you played RA2?
I assume you have. If so then did you not notice that you never ran out of storage space? You can't. Whatever storage settings are present in the ini file is redundant code from TiberianSun. So long as it can store greater than 0 then it automatically can store infinite.
Ore silos can not be added to RA2.
It's a shame I know, I wanted to add silos for my mod.

ore silos would just remind me of the glorious days of RA1 Missions. too bad for TS-based RA2. .

It is true silos wouldn't function in RA2, however it's simple enough to add them if only for nostalgic purposes..

Nostalogic purpose ! lolz
I'll build it just like oil derrick. Now the silo's can process money.

ps my silos will b waste container silos having a high cost and after building silos u'll get chemical missile. My idea doesn't match for this thred, sorry

Actually I had a similar thought earlier, Psycho-- Ditch the Allied Ore Processor and replace it with silos. Give the silos similar attributes to the processor (except lower the cost, remove the build limit, and reduce the income bonus to ~5% or so)

Just a thought, so you could add the silos for an old school feel, and actually have a purpose for having them..

then you must have the Waste Processing Facility, not an Ore Refinery. you must have a weed-harvesting vehicle just like in TS..

there are two things. in RA2, the nuclear reactor must be first built before the Nuclear Missile Silo. 'coz the nuclear reactor provides materials for the nuclear missile warhead. just like in TS, the [NAWAST] facility must be built in order to build the chemical missile
