Hacker
Inspired by Generals and feeling sorry for the Soviets, I created a 'Hacker' infantyman for them. I gave it a copy of the [diskdrain] weapon so as it would not have an [InvisibleVerticle] projectile and I increased the range. However, this did not work. The man (TRST image) goes to fire his weapon, head to the target, flashes and then simply stops. There is no effect, is the drainweapon tag hardcoded so than only jumpjet vehicles or something like that can have this? I must have this Hacker!

what changes have you done to the weapon tags?

I had the same problem. Maybe u can't edit the diskdrain to have a longer range

Now i haven't got this far for my mod yet, but try looking at this section of the rules.ini

DrainMoneyFrameDelay=30
DrainMoneyAmount=30 ;20
DrainAnimationType=DISKRAY; code wants a looping animation, might get confused otherwise
Try changing the animation, and/or looking at the art entry for it as its a single direction animation.

Hmm, I wonder, could I add a new animation for the DISKRAY, as I still want the floating disc for Yuri.
I'll try soomething like

Sydro, I don't want it to disable units (yet... muhuha!), just drain buildings (like floating disc)

Giving a Kirov the DISKDRAIN works! Perhaps this new hacker could be a jumpjet Infantry! I'll try!
