Okay sorry it's an old question but I can't find my notes on this anywhere.
I've created a new loading screen for Yuri's (1.001) and a .pal too.
I'm putting them in the right place but the image is all screwed up as if it were the wrong palette. How do I create the .pal correctly?
well once u save pallete through paint shop pro u will open the pal via notepad and you will take the magenta color which is 255 0 255 and put it on the 4th line meaning when u open the .pal with notepad when u have the list of colors you must have the magenta on top and search for it down at the bottom if you find it swap it with the 4th line number or if the magenta isnt there u must delete any two similar colors maybe black or something to put the magenta. Save that in notepad and apply that pallete again. Save the picture and go to xcc mixer. Once u view it make sure u go save as shp(ts) then copy as PAL and there you go. name the shp which is the loading screen to glslmd.shp and rename the palette to glsmd.pal
and these have to go straight to the ra2/yr directory they cannot be placed into ecache or expand
