Default Enligthen me!

Do I really need a new plugin if I want to use Sierra's Half Life sounds? What do I need, what do I do? I tried shoving it before but nothing happen. Half Life's CS does have cool sounds you know.I've shove the Tiberium Sun sounds, its not like I'm that dumb. I just need some more sound files in it, thats it!

I do not know anything about Half Life and its sounds but whatever it is, you must change it to wave format. Then use XCC Mixers Sound Editor to add it to Red Alert 2 in cas you like to use it as voice overs. Then Create Sounds.INI entries. DeeZire Editing Guide can completely explain how.

Default Share your thoughts with me...

The original files are already in .wav but each of them seems bigger than any Ra2 sound. I know the click and drag thing, but that never stick!

.wav format has several sub-formats.

could you please post a zip of 1 to 3 samples of what you are trying to add to RA2/YR? ( so that I can see what sub-format they are )

Probably they're standard PCM-files...look in your mixer, LordShay, right-click on one of the .wavs and and try if you can "Copy as WAV" --> "IMA ADPCM" ... that's the correct format...

Looked it up :
Half-Life\valve\sound\ambience\gaol_1.wav
PCM, 11025 Hz, one channel, 8 Bits per sample

Dunno if the files in the .paks are different...

The files in the paks are identical in format.
