Can songs really be added to RA2 easily, or at all?
I really want to include new music for my mod, I've tried, but it always shows up and plays as a default song (one that came with the game, like HM2). If anyone knows how, PLEASE e-mail me.

check your theme.ini file for your song entry if it was there, check for the line:
Normal=yes
also be sure that your soundtrack is in the same directory of the RA2 game

I have tried that also, yet the same thing happens... Whenever i click the song i added (while ingame) and click play, a different song like Tension, HM2, Drok, or something else plays (although the name of the song and length are correct). For instance, i wanted to add Chochise (by Audioslave) the length number is right, but whenever i click it, well, you know.

Yes, a special kind. I think, but am probably wrong, they are IMA ADPCM or something like that. I have been using both WinAmp with that Plug-In and XCC Mi9xer, but niether work. Hey, DeeZire, if you read this, I know you know!

I'm sure they have to be in a special format . . . a big one at that, that's why v2 of the 40k mod runs around 60 megs.

That is a HUGE mod. Actually, a high quality MP3 of the song i added was 3.17 MB. In the wav format, it went down to 2.98 mB. So it isn't that big, however, some mod launchers support other formats that could be larger. Man, that sounds weird coming from a 13 year old. (ME)

No it's a special kind of WAV which makes files larger . . . the files went from 9 megs to 33 megs.
