Where the heck are the sound files in RA2/YR?
Ive been rooting around all day looking for the sound files (eg: when you select a unit and it goes 'unit reporting') and I just cant find them. Any of you know where they are?

It probably sounds silly and n00bish but whereabouts? So far Ive got a file called audio.mix in there, and in there are a bunch of EVA sound effects and a file called audio.bag or something. Are they in there and if so, is how do I get my mits on them?

*shakeshead*...
The files you're searching for are in the audio.mix, but inside the audio.bag and audio.idx; you can access them via XCC Sound Editor (XCC Mixer --> Launch, I think)...
But beware: If you add sounds using the Sound Editor, the files generated will be about 17 megs...

sound files are found in a file named audio.bag...well it is found in the language.mix file but you will open it by using the xcc mixer, press launch=> xcc sound editor. and you can extract, play, add or even delete sounds from it..the 17mb file size problem can be overriden by using xcc mod creator..it compress files REALLY good.
