How to code plane that verticly drops 1 bomb on target?
Hey guys. I'm just wondering how to code a plane that will fly over the target (i know that it's done with flyby=yes) and verticly drop 1 bomb like a kirov. I tried doing this about a month or 2 ago so i don't still have the code but it was really messed up. The plane shot the projectile horizontally and it flew right out of the map without going anywhere near the target. I'm sure this is a pretty easy question for you DeeZire modders

simply go to the projectiles section and remove the vertical=yes tag from the projectile of your weapon. I think we all had that problem once...
For making it drop one and just one bomb, i still dont know how... damned hardcoded stuff....

i've thought about this but you might be able to do it if you make the range on the weapon a kinda equal to the speed of the aircraft you might be able to do it
i know i'm not good at explaining things someone who understood that explaine to others

Hehe, true...
I think the Range= is the key...just make it really small, and the plane will have no other chance than dropping the bomb vertically...

A queston similar to the problem here:
1.How do the ASW and the Hornet shoot multiple projectiles, even though they only have 1 ammo? They strafe over the target and fire quite a few projectiles...? Explain this to me please.
2.And I want my Harriers to fire 4 missiles in rapid succession while they fly over the target, sort of like the Raptor does in Generals. How do I do that?

The Ammo only specifies how many times the plane attacks the target; they start shooting as soon as they are in range.
To achieve your goal, you have to find the right balance between Range and ROF.

Burst= defines how many of the projectiles are shot.
Apparently the Hornet and Osprey (ASW) have a high burst. To make your Harrier fire 4 missiles, give it Burst=4.
Although I thought there was a problem, making it fire one more than you specified or something, but I'm not sure...

Yeah I tried using Burst=4 and ROF=80 but then it just flies up to the target and flies around it "ORCA Style" while firing, rather than flying OVER it while firing. I want to achieve an effect similar to the Hornet and ASW but I don't know what triggers that.
