i attempted to open the .exe myself..it needs a encryption/decryption program called SDR 1.12..how did i know it? though stumbling a program..Wordpad.

if anyone has a program called SDR 1.12, the one i specified above..i guess it would be..success..the code in RA1 is hardcoded..why? 'coz everything the entries like infantry names and unit names are coded in the RA1 .exe..

Well, I dloaded the TLBView and found almost nothing useful in ra2.tlb. The only thing I noticed that it is just same as the sun.tlb... I'm in frustration...

Sorry it took me so long to get back, I was laying a floor in my grandma's new appartement yesterday .

I don't really like the idea of one community mod, since I think it'll only lead to fights.

A list what we need to do for the Red Book:
(if you have any suggestions for other stuff plz specify)

Special
Front - I made one, check the attachment
Table of Contents - I'll make one once we have all the text
Unit
Main rules entries for a unit - DeeZel
Weapons & Warheads - Daedalus
Art entries - raise your hand if you think you can do this
What can't we do
Rules/artbased - ryanman would do this (check the second post)
Story/balancing based - I'll do this if nobody else replies. After all I started the proj.
Art editing
Voxel editing guide - raise your hand if you think you can do this
Cameo editing guide - raise your hand if you think you can do this
Infantry - Will probably be hard 2 find someone who can write this
Building - raise your hand if you think you can do this
*3Ds 2 Vxl guide - not necessarily, but might be handy
More
The full potential of XCC Mixer - raise your hand if you think you can do this
Superweapons/fake SW's - Psycho
4th Side - BobingAbout
Sounds - raise your hand if you think you can do this
FAQ - We all together.Send in stuff you've found out to JnSpijkers@home.nl
Moddig Experience
Units you made that you find special enough to write a tutorial about - can't have enough of these

I will assemble this in the end and make it a HTML-file.

Comments from my side:
- There's something wrong with the Soviet sign's anti-aliasing on the booklet
- What about the Allied and Yuri's sign?
- We should include DeeZire's rules.ini guide, or at least a link to it
- We should include DeeZire's Tutorials, or at least a link to it
- We should include a list of hardcoded things for certain "ideas", like

"Hardcoded, and therefore unchangeable:
- The count of sides and Houses
- The count of Superweapons [Read Psycho's Tutorial on Fake SWs here or Whoever's Tutorial on modifying Superweapons here]
- Deformable Terrain is disabled
- Air-To-Air Combat is impossible
- ..."

(the point being, that Air-To-Air combat, for example, can be coded without problems in the rules, it just won't work)

- We need a list of common (infamous) bugs and how to avoid them, like the NCO-bug or the Bridge-Bug, and in addition
- A list of common error sources in specific situations, like "I built a tank blablabla...now everytime it's projectile hits the ground, I get an internal error?!" "That's most likely a problem with the Warhead blablabla..."
or "My animation doesn't show up?!?!" "Check ..." (you get the point)

very good points renegade ..making a ToubleShooting section or a FAQ section in the book is a very good idea and i guess yeah we should link to deezires rules.ini in any section related to his tutorials. (e.g. in my section i will write: if you feel that this tutorial doesnt cover your essential need please visit www.deezire.net)
