There is another way to create theatre specific camoflage, one that I have yet to see anybody try and do. This way will make units remap to the theatre, no matter what and it only needs the one set of base graphics. All the unit pallets are the same (except snow, but thats a WW error and it doesn't matter, you can replace that pallet with one of the others anyway) and they all have a large section of 36 pink indecies that are unused (assume one to stay pink, that makes 35 new colours in the pallet). 32 of these are set into runs of 16 as viewed in PSP...the same as the run of remap red. You could make one of these runs into a run of theatre specific colour as all the theatres use a different pallet name (they are all the same actual pallet though) and make a master set of pallets that have an easily distinguished colour run (like pure green, but avoid the few pure greens that already exist...it doesn't matter as its only to assign the pallet index to a pixel). Now use the master pallet and paint your unit with the theatre remap run. Ingame that run can be a different set of shades and thus you can have brown, green, grey, dark grey, blue or whatever depending on the theatre. Cool stuff, but you need a decent artist who knows what will makea convincing run of shades to do it. You could use all the colours and make two sets of remaps if you wanted so different units had different colours for certain theatres.
